David Parker

Director of ITT

Read David's Bio

David Parker is based at our Lead School, Davenant Foundation School, and is a co-Director of Essex School Direct. David’s main focus is on the training of current trainees, he leads on Face 2 Face Workshops each Wednesday, interventions for trainees in need of additional support and recruitment events. David is the designated adult safety lead for ESD. David has been teaching for over 30 years and involved in teacher training for 20 years. David has taught a wide variety of subjects and had curriculum and pastoral leadership roles, prior to becoming Assistant Headteacher at Davenant School in charge of T&L and CPD as well as being a full-time Director of Essex School Direct. Additionally, David is a trustee of NASBTT (National Association of School Based Teacher Training) and involved at a national level in developing and advising on ITT policy and practice.

Trevor Hounslow

Read Trevor's Bio

Trevor Hounslow is based at Davenant Foundation School and is a co-Director of Essex School Direct. Trevor is often the first person to contact a new potential trainee as he monitors all new applications coming into ESD on a daily basis. Trevor leads on placement of trainees in schools, second school placement arrangements and along with the rest of the team ITT regularly invites potential trainees in for a pre-application informal chat. He also does loads of vital stuff to do with contracting, finance and quality assurance. Trevor has been in education and teacher training for 47 years (!!) holding a wide variety of roles - many of those at Davenant School. He is also an accomplished musician and bridge player.

Rosie Ball

ITT Admin Manager

Rosie Ball is the ITT Partnership Admin Manager and is based at our Lead School, Davenant Foundation School. Rosie deals with all aspects of your training journey, from being your first point of contact to arranging your interview and liaising with our provider, TES Institute, to ensure your teacher training journey is a smooth one.

Rosie handles much of the outward-facing aspects of the partnership, including event organisation, liaison with schools, website editing and social media management.

Rosie's background is in communications, advertising, copywriting and marketing within the commercial, healthcare and higher education sectors. Organisations she has worked for include Kings College London, BUPA, Spire Healthcare and several commercial advertising agencies. She has also worked in various roles at our Lead School. She has won awards for best practice in the customer experience and copywriting. "I am pleased to be able to bring my professional experience to the Partnership – we love to ‘grow our own’ teachers, and very much hope we can help you to become one of them."

Serife Dent

ITT Admin Support

Serife is based at our Lead School, Davenant Foundation School, and has been Admin Assistant for the Partnership for 3 years. She is the first point of contact for new enquiries, offers liaison with schools, manages the interview process and keeps everyone organised as regards compliance and paperwork. She also helps to organise events and arranges meetings with people interested in teacher training. Serife has a background in the legal sector and also in the primary education sector. In her spare time, she is currently training to be a counsellor.

Peter Gibbon

Hi. My name is Peter Gibbon and I am currently Director of Learning at Great Baddow High School. I work closely with the Chelmsford schools in the Essex School Direct partnership and help to run the Face To Face sessions. I have been an English teacher for over 30 years and have taught in a variety of different schools. I have been involved teacher training and whole school CPD for many years and I am passionate about constantly reflecting upon and evolving the teaching profession.

Zoe Milner

My name is Zoe Milner and I'm the Chelmsford Learning Partnership Primary ITT Lead, which includes four primary schools from within the Chelmsford Learning Partnership. I have another role which is as Deputy Head at The Tyrrells Primary School. As part of this I have been involved in teacher training for many years and also supporting the next step in the journey as the Early Careers Coordinator. I have recently started working with Essex School Direct and am excited at the prospect of working with the next generation of primary trainee teachers.
